To Whom it May Concern,
I first want to congratulate you on your decision on becoming a Physical Therapy Assistant, and also getting into the program. This process wasn’t easy, but you did it so get ready for an eventful learning experience.
A Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) falls mainly in assisting patients with their weakening situations such as back pain, arthritis, sports injuries, fractures, head injuries, strokes, and much more. They are the ones that are hands on and provide immediate therapeutic services that can, and will improve the patient’s condition through mobility, pain, and to cope with many mental and other physical things they will encounter throughout the process. A PTA may use what is called therapeutic techniques and equipment in order to improve muscle strength and coordination depending on the injury. She/He can also assist in whirlpool baths (both hot and cold), ultrasonic machines, and the use of ultraviolet lamps. The PTA is also assigned the task to teach the patient and make sure he/she is well informed of what they are suppose to be doing. They are also having to make sure the patients dependents are on the same page on how to perform the exercises and improve physical health through there exercising.
This is just a quick overview of what you will be learning, and what you will be working on becoming. Once again congratulations, and work hard even when things get rough.
